As a leader in funeral service, Wagley Funeral Home continues to monitor the restrictions and recommendations of our national, state, and local orders in regards to slowing the contamination spread during the pandemic of COVID-19.
As per Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s Executive Order (2020-42) issued on April 9, 2020, attending a funeral is considered an “essential activity”, but explicitly limits 10 people in attendance at a service.
Therefore, we will limit crowd size to 10 people at any time at a visitation, and will only allow the seating of 10 people for a service. In addition, social distancing of at least 6 feet shall be maintained and the CDC recommends facial covering in public. We ask that attendees practice good hygiene and refrain from public gathering if currently ill.
Graveside and off-site services will be regulated by same restrictions, unless specific local statute differs. This policy will continue through April 30, or until expiration of the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” order.
We are offering live web streaming of services for families who consent, via a secure shareable email link that can be distributed among their discretion. Keep in mind, you can always express condolences or order flower tributes here on our website. Local florists are still able to fulfill your orders.
We understand the anxieties, sadness, and guilt that exist with this necessary social distancing, at a critical time when families need social exposure the most. Rest assured that Wagley Funeral Home is exercising all health and safety procedures in order to protect our families and staff from any possible exposure. We appreciate your cooperation in helping heal our world.
