Ramona Marie Scholl

DEERFIELD- Ramona Marie Scholl, age 81, of Deerfield, MI, died Friday evening, January 5, 2024, at the ProMedica Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital in Adrian surrounded by her family. Ramona was born on October 8, 1942, in Adrian, MI the daughter of Bernard and Rita (Reaume) Diver. She married Douglas Lee Scholl on January 21, 1961, and during their 59 years together they raised four children, shared much love and laughter, and operated Scholl’s Slaughter House which was truly a family business. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Ramona showed her support by attending her children’s, grandchildren’s, and great-grandchildren’s sporting events. She also enjoyed playing bunco and other card games. Ramona’s Catholic faith was a source of strength throughout her life. She was a long-time member of Light of Christ Parish, St. Alphonsus Church in Deerfield. Ramona is survived by her children, Lynette (Keith) Tillotson, Tim (Karen) Scholl and Nick (Jody) Scholl; grandchildren, Amanda (Jason) Brooks, Jacob (Jess) Tillotson, Ashley (Anton) Kissell, Caleb (Kristin) Scholl, Lauren (Chris Antalek) Scholl, Brad (Tehya) Scholl , Nate Scholl, Drew (Kelsey) Scholl, Erika (Ben) Burke and Megan (Ryan Fields) Scholl; great-grandchildren, Logan, Parker, Danny, Lily, Paisley, Riley, Allison, Kourtney, Aiden and Ryker; siblings, Norman (Cheryl) Diver, Virgil (Donna) Diver and Max (Gayle) Diver, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Doug and son, Scott Scholl. There will be a funeral mass on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Light of Christ Parish-St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Deerfield with Rev. Jeffrey Poll as celebrant with visitation held one hour prior to mass. Visitation will take place on Friday, January 12, 2024, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Wagley Funeral Home, Tagsold Chapel, Blissfield. Burial will be held at St. Alphonsus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider the Light of Christ-St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, the M.S.
