Katrina K. Eder

ONSTED – Katrina K. Eder, age 56 of Onsted was called home by her Savior Sunday, April 23, 2017, at her home under the care of her treasured family. She was born February 10, 1961, in Royal Oak, Michigan to Lyman Peter and Amelia Marie (Robinson) Ketzler, and graduated from Hale High School. She earned an Associate’s Degree in Cosmetology from Kirkland College. Katrina married Chris Eder July 31, 1982 in Swartz Creek, Michigan, and they were blessed with over 34 years together. Katrina was graced and gifted in many ways and lived out her faith as she volunteered in many communities for existing organizations or through her many private endeavors. She homeschooled her children and was an excellent cook, florist, seamstress, decorator, hostess, basket weaver, and lover of animals with an ability to put everyone at ease with her big smile and service attitude. She continually put all these gifts to work in creative and caring ways such as raising service and therapy dogs which she took to the local schools, nursing homes, and hospitals; volunteering with Neighbors of Hope; cooking at and helping start Wednesday night meal service at Hope Lutheran Church – in short, Katrina responded wherever there was a need. Everyone who crossed her path was welcomed into her affections, and she persistently showered those around her with care, fun-loving humor and love. With her, love was a well that deepened with use and never ran dry. She was a firm believer in Christ and a former member of Hope Lutheran Church in Adrian, Alive! in Tecumseh, and most recently Cross and Resurrection Lutheran Church in Ypsilanti. In addition to her parents, Pete and Marie Ketzler of Howell and her husband, Chris, Katrina is survived by her daughters, Kellie Marie (Zachary) Klumpp of Onsted, and Katie Grace (Ethan) Klumpp of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Henry Martin and Eva Grace Klumpp; a sister, Kristin (Donald) Kenely of Farmington, their daughters, Jessica and Molly; and numerous extended family members around the country. A memorial Celebration of Life will take place at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Wagley Funeral Home with Rev. Bryan Schindel officiating.
