Anna Bragg

BLISSFIELD- Anna Bragg, age 97 of Blissfield, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at ProMedica Charles & Virginia Hickman Hospital. Anna was born on August 13, 1928, in Toledo, Ohio, the baby of the family joining Alex and Rosa (Vincze) Lakatos’ six children already at home. Living on the family farm everyone had chores and responsibilities, which helped in developing Anna’s strong work ethic. On January 8, 1949, she was united in marriage to Marvin Earl Bragg in Blissfield, MI. They raised four children and later took on the cherished roles of grandparents and great-grandparents. Anna and Marvin celebrated over 54 years together before his passing in 2003. Family was the motivating force throughout Anna’s life, and it showed in everything she did. She was the ultimate organizer, and this was evident in the family road trips up north, where snacks and games were readily available to keep the little ones busy and content. The family enjoyed camping with Indian River being a favorite destination. Family gatherings were always special with Christmas being a time to celebrate and count your many blessings. Anna lived her faith daily and was a long-time member of Evangelical United Brethren Church, which is now known as Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Blissfield. She volunteered her time and talents in many ways, including being the lead greeter, teaching Sunday school and helping with funeral dinners. She will be missed by her children, Robert W. (Judy) Bragg, Susan J. (Jack) Clement, Sheila M. (Marci) Bragg- Deyo and Sandra A. Vore; 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Elizabeth Lipps, who is 104 yrs old. Anna was preceded in death by her parents 5 siblings, and son-in-law, William Vore. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Wagley Funeral Home, Tagsold Chapel, Blissfield, with Rev. Lawson Crane officiating. Family will receive friends from 9 to 11 AM at the funeral home. Following the funeral service burial will take place at Riga Cemetery.
