Vicki Sue Smith Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

ADRIAN – Vicki Sue Smith, 79, of Adrian, formerly of Sandusky, OH died early Tuesday morning, August 18, 2020 at Oasis of Adrian. Born March 25, 1941, in Shelby, OH, she was the daughter of Harry and Famy (Harrison) Hauritz. Vicki was a proud 1959 graduate of Sandusky High School. Following high school, she began working at Philco, the Sandusky Foundry, and the Social Security Administration. In 1975 Vicki began her employment in the clerical department of Providence Hospital (now Firelands Hospital) and School of Nursing in Sandusky. Vicki truly enjoyed volunteering with the Alzheimer’s Support Group at the Firelands Medical Center and her time working and traveling with Timely Tours Travel Agency. In her spare time, she loved watching the Hallmark Channel and trips to Cedar Point. Vicki is survived by her children, Melinda (Mike) Ahleman of Tecumseh, MI and Mark (Angela) Smith of Mansfield, OH; grandchildren, Mark L. Smith, Nickolaus Smith, Lukas Smith, Joshua Cline, Jeff Cline, and Troy Collins; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Karen Wlodarsky and Carol Ferguson. Per Vicki’s request, cremation has taken place. Interment of ashes and a private family service will take place in Oakland Cemetery in Sandusky. Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian, MI has been entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions in honor of Vicki be made to Hospice Lenawee, Stein Hospice in Sandusky, or the American Cancer Society.
