Shirley Anne Turner Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

BLISSFIELD – Shirley Anne Turner, 80, of Blissfield died Friday morning, July 9, 2021 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, Ohio with her beloved family by her side. Born August 10, 1940 in Adrian, she was the daughter of Russell Perry and Laura Louise (Prielipp) Pooley. Shirley grew up on her family farm in Blissfield and graduated from Blissfield High School in 1958. She furthered her education by attending Davis Business School and the University of Toledo. Shirley was employed as a secretary for Champion Sparkplug and Prestolite. She later became an inside sales coordinator and office manager for Sunsource Fauver, where she retired after 30 years of service. Shirley was an active member of Epiphany Lutheran Church in Toledo, where she was a member of their quilting group. She helped to create beautiful quilts that were sent worldwide to those in need. More recently, Shirley attended Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palmyra. In her spare time, Shirley loved playing cards, whether it was Euchre, Hand-and-Foot, or Uno. She also enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening, and board games. Shirley is survived by her daughter, Tracy (Joshua) Weil of Glens Falls, NY; her three grandchildren, Madeline, Lauren, and Chase Weil; sister, Jane (Ken) Henderson of Blissfield; and sister-in-law, Deborah Pooley of Blissfield. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Pooley. Per Shirley’s request, cremation will take place. The family will hold a private memorial service.
