Myrna Jean Vogel

October 20, 1938 - November 3, 2021

ADRIAN – Myrna Jean Vogel, 83, lifelong resident of Adrian died early Wednesday morning, November 3, 2021 at Gaslight Village Assisted Living, while under the compassionate care of Elara Care Hospice. Born October 20, 1938, she was the only child of Dale and Ardell (Willnow) Anderson. Myrna was a proud Adrian High School graduate. On September 2, 1955 she married William D. Vogel at the Chapel in the Garden in Angola, IN. Myrna was a homemaker and took pride and joy in caring for her family and home. Together, Myrna and Bill shared over 60 years of love and memories, until he preceded her in death on July 6, 2015. Myrna was a member of the Adrian First United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She was also a member of the Lenawee Country Club. In her spare time, Myrna was active in Bridge clubs and bowling and golf leagues, until an aneurysm which caused a stroke in 1986 at the age of 47. She was known for having a “sweet tooth” and enjoyed a treat when she could. She is survived by her loving daughters, Cindy (Patrick) Jaeger of Hendersonville, NC and Keri (Chad) Johnson of Adrian; and her treasured granddaughter, Claire Johnson of Adrian. In addition to her parents and her husband, Bill, Myrna was preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Vogel in 2017. Visitation for Myrna will take place on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian. Services and burial for Myrna will be private. She will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery next to her beloved husband, Bill. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Lenawee Humane Society.
