July 27, 1958 - March 6, 2021
Mark Allen Kildow, age 62, died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 6, 2021, while doing construction work for a new business venture following a brief illness. On July 27, 1958, Mark was born in Adrian, Michigan, the middle of five sons of Daphne (West) Kildow Mullins. He grew up playing in the streets of Adrian with a special group of friends: Mike Abraham, Jimmy Herman, Sam Medina, Terry Potts and Bruce Campbell. They went everywhere and did everything together. They remained close even after Mark moved with his family to Marion, Ohio, in 1974, where he graduated from Pleasant High School in the class of 1978. Mark was a hard working, honest, and simple man, who most will remember from the 5 Points Drive Thru, which he owned and operated for 25 plus years in Marion. He also had his hands in many other business ventures over the years with family and friends. A gambling man, Mark loved to go to the casino and a good card game. He also loved spending time swimming and relaxing by his pool. Despite his tough exterior that came from growing up in the streets of Adrian, Michigan, Mark had a heart of gold and loved everyone. He especially loved his children and his entire family and cherished spending time with all of them. Left to cherish his memory are his two children: Mark (Melissa) Kildow Jr., and Payton Kildow; he has one grandchild on the way he would have loved to meet; his mother, Daphne Mullins; three brothers: Richard “Rick” (Becky) Kildow, Tim Kildow, and Glen “Todd” Kildow; numerous nieces and nephews; three of his five close friends: Sam Medina, Terry Potts, and Bruce Campbell; and countless more dear friends. Mark was preceded in death by his saint of a grandmother, Thelma Allen; his brother, Jeffrey Kildow, who was killed in a training mission in the military; and two of his close friends: Mike Abraham and Jimmy Herman. Services honoring Mark’s life will be held at 11 am, on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at his graveside in Oakwood Cemetery in Adrian, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made to an organization Mark was passionate about, Turning Point, 330 Barks Rd W, Marion, OH 43302. Wagley Funeral Homes of Adrian, MI, are honored to serve Mark’s family and your condolences may be expressed to them by visiting www.WagleyFuneralHomes.com.
