Marjorie "Midge" Ann Evans

ADRIAN –Marjorie “Midge” Ann Evans, age 92 of Adrian, died Thursday evening, January 6, 2022 at Charlotte Stephenson Manor. Born on November 3, 1929, in Adrian, MI, Midge was one of three daughters to John George and Florence, (Hoag) Ott. Midge graduated with the Adrian High School Class of 1947. She went on to earn her Associate’s Degree from Siena Heights College and then finished with a Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Michigan University. Midge married Edgar Stark Evans on January 18, 1953 in Adrian at the First United Methodist Church. They enjoyed 61 years together of making memories and raising a family. Always putting her family first, Midge worked as a substitute teacher, which allowed her the flexibility to be home with her children when they were young. As time went by she taught night school classes and business classes at Siena Heights College. Midge was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Adrian for many years, and she also belonged to the Tau Delta Sorority. She enjoyed playing Bridge, golfing and quilting. Midge is survived by her children, John (Cynthia) Evans of Williamston, MI, Robert (Patsy) Evans and Elizabeth (Michael) Graham both of Adrian; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edgar; and sisters, Carolyn (Hugh) Heffron and Barbara (James) Page. Memorial services for Midge will be held on Wednesday, January12, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian with Rev. Eric Stone officiating.
