ADRIAN- Marilyn Gay Jones, age 81 of Adrian passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018, at home. She was born on March 6, 1937, in Detroit, to Hayward and Louise Gay. After high school, Marilyn went out to Northampton, Massachusetts, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from Smith College. Having an excellent sense of style, Marilyn worked for Jacobson’s for many years in their clothing line. In her younger years, she was a member of the Junior League of Toledo. Throughout life, Marilyn has been an avid reader and gardener. Her love of art was evident in everything she touched. Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Gay Jones; granddaughter, Emily Jones; and brother, Charles Gay. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Nancy Tully. At Marilyn’s request, cremation has taken place and all services are private. Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian, has been entrusted with her arrangements.
