Jeanne Louise Ross-Bowerman Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

ADRIAN- Jeanne Louise Ross Bowerman, 68, of Adrian died Saturday evening, July 16, 2022 at ProMedica Charles & Virginia Hickman Hospital with her family by her side. Born on August 14, 1953 in Providence, Rhode Island she was the daughter of Robert and Beatrice (Croteau) Robinson. On August 19, 1988 Jeanne married Larry Bowerman in Toledo, Ohio. They celebrated over 32 years together before his death on May 4, 2021. Early in life, Jeanne worked as a bus driver for Adrian Public Schools and enjoyed the friendships and laughs she shared with her co-workers and students. After obtaining her bachelor’s degree at Siena Heights University, Jeanne went on to work as a chemist at Green Plains in Riga and Bio Labs in Adrian. She loved being outdoors and kept busy in her vegetable and flower gardens. No birds went hungry when Jeanne was around as she diligently provided feed to all the birds that would come visit around her home. She treasured the time she spent with her family and cooking meals big enough to feed an army just came naturally to her. While her children were growing up Jeanne had many famous sayings she would recite; no matter what the occasion was she was ready with a witty response. Nana was a role Jeanne cherished, and all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were special to her. Jeanne is survived by her children, Jim (Sarah) Ross, Rob (Tonya) Ross, Jon-Michael (Kari) Ross, Kasey (Randee) Bowerman, and Kelley (Scott) Nelson; grandchildren, Jimi, Kaylee, Makayla, Jesi, Erik, Jack, Blake, Owen, Konner, Keilan, Anna and Ethan; great-grandchildren, Tristan and Gavin; siblings, Dick (Gail) Robinson, Betsy (Dan) Wilson, Bill (Laurie) Robinson, Kathy (Milton) Hathaway, Joyce (Al) Boucher and Jim (Chris) Robinson. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry; son, Jamie Ross; stepson, Keith Bowerman and brother, Bob Robinson. Following Jeanne’s wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial celebration will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian. A memorial visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday and continue until the time of the service. Memorial contributions in Jeanne’s memory may be made to the donor’s choice.
