Gary Donald Hall Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

TIPTON- Gary Donald Hall, 80, of Tipton, Michigan died in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 7, 2022 at home under the care of Hospice of Lenawee with his loving family by his side. Born on September 1, 1941 at home on the family farm, Gary was the middle child to Lewis Daniel and Dorothy Lucille (Keil) Hall. He graduated from Onsted High School with the Class of 1959 and went on to attend Michigan State University where he earned his associate degree in agriculture. On November 29, 1963 Gary married Carole Spycher in Onsted and they have been blessed with over 58 years together. He owned and operated Hall Construction for over 40 years, where he was busy building and remodeling homes. After a long day in construction, Gary would come home and work in his fields, carrying on the family tradition of farming. Faith was very important to Gary and he gave of his time and talent as Chairman of the Board and Deacon at Union Gospel Church in Tipton for over 50 years. When it was time to relax, Gary enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and spending time at the family cabin on the Tittabawassee River. Gary’s quiet and easy-going personality was how he lived his life. He worked hard every day and never complained, even when his health was declining over the last few months. In addition to his wife, Carole, he is survived by their children, Martin Hall, Matt (Beth) Hall and Melody (Jonathan) Nichols; grandchildren, Austin and Taylor Hall, and Gavin and Abigail Nichols; and his sister, Sharon Edwards. He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Joyce Sundermeyer. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Wagley Funeral Home in Adrian, with Rev. Rex Gutwein officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Shade Cemetery in Onsted, MI. Visitation will take place from noon until the start of the service at the funeral home.
