Frances L. Bohs

October 28, 1925 - February 26, 2021

ADRIAN – Frances L. Bohs, age 95, of Blissfield, departed this life on Friday, February 26, 2021, from the Gaslight Village Assisted Living in Adrian while under the care of Hospice of Lenawee. She was born October 28, 1925, in Blissfield, the daughter of Clarence and Marguerite (Reynolds) Meyers. A graduate of Blissfield High School, she furthered her education by obtaining an Associate’s Degree from Siena Heights University. She was proud to call Blissfield her home for her entire life. Frances was married on June 20, 1946, to Harold “Bud” Bohs at the First United Methodist Church in Blissfield. They shared over 68 years as husband and wife. Together they loved to travel. He preceded her in death on January 3, 2015. Frances was employed with Jipson Carter Bank for 35 years, where she served as Head of Customer Service. She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Blissfield. Surviving are three daughters, Jennifer Bohs (Lee Cork) of Lexington, MI, Monica Luce of Kalamazoo, MI, and Sheila (Terry) Filter of Blissfield; brother, Kent Meyers of Oregon, OH; four grandchildren, Chad Fetzer, Angie Ryan, Nicole Moersch, and Kim McHardy; and nine great grandchildren, Kylie Ryan, Abby Ryan, Brayden Fetzer, Brooklyn Fetzer, Abbey Zubke, Drew Moersch, Alivia Moersch, Tyler Moersch, and Nora McHardy. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Meyers; sister, Phyllis Maves; and son-in-law, David Luce. Visitation for Frances will take place on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon at the Wagley Funeral Home, Tagsold Chapel in Blissfield. Following the Governor’s executive order, all attendees are required to wear a proper face covering, with the exception of those under the age of five years old or those who cannot medically tolerate. A memorial service for Frances will be private. The family suggests that memorial contributions to honor Frances be made to the Blissfield First United Methodist Church.
