Evelyn Fay Jacobs Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

ADRIAN- Evelyn “Fay” Jacobs, 81, of Adrian died Thursday evening, June 23, 2022 at the Hospice of Lenawee Home with her family by her side. Born on July 11, 1940 in Patterson, Missouri, Fay was the daughter of James Zelma and Gretna (Adams) Perrin. The Perrin family moved to Michigan when Fay was young, and she graduated from Tecumseh High School with the Class of 1957. Fay found her Mr. Wonderful, Lyle Jacobs, early in life. They eloped on December 19, 1957 in Jackson, Michigan and they have shared 64 wonderful years together. Fay embraced raising her family and finding happiness in everything she did. She was an avid reader and was very talented in doing needlepoint, crocheting and knitting. Fay loved being active, whether it was camping with friends and family, playing volleyball or disco dancing in the 70’s, she rose to the challenge. She had a competitive side that came out when she was playing board games or her favorite video games, she did not like to lose. Family gatherings meant the most to Fay as she cherished spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, Lyle, she is survived by her sons, Dennis (Shauna Reitmeier) Jacobs of Crookston, Minnesota, and Michael (Terisa Hassall) Jacobs of Melbourne, Florida; 5 grandchildren, Little Freddie, Glen Adams, Krysstin Gunter, Doug (Audre) Jacobs and Duncan Jacobs; many wonderful great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Wilma Jean Leonard and Jane Lea Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Fredrick Jacobs. Following Fay’s wishes cremation will take place with no public services.
