Donald "Don" Arthur Deck Jr.

ADRIAN- Donald “Don” Arthur Deck, Jr., 59, of Adrian, Michigan died early Thursday morning, August 17, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Hospice of Lenawee. Don was born on June 1, 1964, in Hudson, MI, the oldest of Donald and Delores (Taylor) Deck, Sr.’s five children. He graduated from Hudson High School with the Class of 1983 and went on to serve his country in the United States Army from 1983 to 1988. On April 21, 1990, Don married Kimberley Milliman in Hudson, MI and they shared 33 wonderful years together. Don had a strong work ethic and believed in showing up and doing quality work every day. For 25 years he worked as a warehouse manager and was also in charge of shipping and receiving. Over the years the business may have changed names from Diehl to Dairy Farmers of America to Crimson Holdings, but Don’s commitment remained steady, and he was a model employee. When Don’s health started to decline, and he could no longer work it took several employees to cover the job he was doing. Don’s easy-going personality and humor was enjoyed by all that knew him. He was an excellent provider for his family and treasured their time together. Don liked to spend time gaming, fishing, going for a ride on his Harley, and taking a Sunday afternoon drive where he ended up at one of his favorite casinos. He was a loyal Detroit Lions fan. He had a soft spot for cats and always made sure he had enough food to feed any cats that needed a quick meal and a little attention. In addition to his wife, Kim, Don is survived by his children, Donald Deck III, Kaitlyn (Devin) Slee, Nathan Deck and Jesse Deck; grandchildren, Zachary Rosenburg, Taylor Deck, Yillianna St. Clair, Damien Deck, Dane Deck, Daxton Deck, Audrina Deck, Jordan Deck and Jenna Deck; great-grandson, Zachary Rosenburg, Jr; siblings, Brent Deck, Jeannie Deck (Larry Sperling), Joe (Kelly) Deck, and Leo (Tammy) Deck; his in-laws, Bill and Sharon Smith; brother-in-law, Terry (Maggie) Milliman and sister-in-law, Jackie (Scott) Willnow; many wonderful nieces and nephews, including Luke Willnow, Lindsay Hayden and her son Isaiah. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian.
