Dominga Martinez Flores

December 2, 1934 - February 19, 2021

ADRIAN – Dominga Martinez Flores, age 86, of Adrian, passed away in the morning on Friday, February 19, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 2, 1934, in Niderwald, Texas to her parents, Esmerhildo and Catarina (Hernadez) Martinez. In 1982, Dominga married Taurino Flores, Sr. and they created many wonderful memories before his death on February 10, 1998. Dominga enjoyed cooking for her family, listening to Mexican music, and attending family birthday parties and special occasions. She never missed watching her soap operas, day or night. Dominga was very spiritual and attended church faithfully. Dominga was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who cherished spending time with her family and the love they shared. She is survived by her 12 children, Fedel (Debbie) Flores, Rosa (Jimmy) Valdez, Maria (Andres, Sr.) Trejo, Taurino (Jane) Flores, Jr., Alicia Silva, Felix (Karen) Flores, Janie (Filiberto, Sr.) Trejo, Marguerite (Livorio, Sr.) Sandoval, Abel (Sherrie Stace) Flores, David (Liz) Flores, Carmen (Jose Pepe) Pina-Pena, and Rudy (Rochelle) Flores; many wonderful grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren; sister, Aucencia Velasquez; and beloved nieces and nephews. Dominga was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Taurino; daughter, Isabel Mary Ramirez; grandchildren, Stephanie Frost and Emilio Trejo, great-grandson, Antonio Silva, and great-granddaughter, Madelyn Yvonne; son-in-law, David Silva, Sr.; siblings, Juanita Marinez Gutierrez, Macaria Leos, Petra Casarez and Emilio Martinez. Mass of the Christian burial will be on Monday, March 1, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Parish, St. Mary’s Campus with Fr. Bob Pienta. Burial will follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Park in Adrian. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2021, from 1-3 p.m. and again at 5 p.m., concluding with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.at Wagley Funeral Home, in Adrian. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service on Monday at St. Mary’s. Memorial contributions in memory of Dominga may be made to Careline Hospice. Following the Governor’s executive order, all attendees are required to wear a proper face covering, with the exception of those under the age of five years old or those who cannot medically tolerate.
