Robert "Bob" Leroy Green

ADRIAN- Robert “Bob” Leroy Green, age 85, of Adrian, Michigan, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, May 7, 2026, surrounded by his family at the Hospice of Lenawee Home. Bob was born on February 6, 1941, in Adrian, the only son of Leland and Eleanor (Pifer) Green. He was a graduate of Adrian High School with the Class of 1959. Bob went on to serve his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. On April 10, 1965, Bob married Rosalyn Brown at Adrian Baptist Church. They built a beautiful life and shared 54 years together, raising two wonderful sons and later earning the title of “proud grandparents” for eight grandchildren. Bob and Rosalyn enjoyed traveling to a variety of destinations- being snowbirds in Florida during the winter months, going to the family cabin in Harrison, MI, spending time in the Smoky Mountains or cruising on the open seas to name a few. When they were home, they were very active with friends and family with game nights, dinner out, and attending numerous shows and concerts. Throughout his life, family was Bob’s priority. When it came to special events or holiday celebrations, Bob and Rosalyn’s house was where everyone gathered. Bob’s career in finance spanned over 50 years. He worked at Commercial Savings Bank in Adrian for over 30 years; from there he went on to work for the Adrian Dominican Sisters and finished as an elected public official as the Rollin Township Treasurer. Bob served on several boards locally and in Florida, holding the role of Treasurer at Gleaner’s Adrian Arbor, Lakewood Village and Carriage Homes. He liked to be informed and was detailed oriented in his roles. He will be missed by family and friends. He is survived by his sons, Kevin (Tonya) Green of Jasper, MI and Jason Green of Midland, MI; grandchildren, Emily Rose Green, Hailey (Travis) Echelbarger, Caleb (Trish) Green, Sarah Green, Hunter Green, Heath Green, Emily Nicole Kellogg and Ryan Kellogg; great-grandchildren, Tate Echelbarger with another on the way; sister-in-law, Alice Jean Brown and three nephews and their families. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rosalyn; daughters-in-law, Barbara Green and Amy Green; brother-in-law, Gerald Brown and nephew, Kent Brown. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian with Pastor Larry Betz officiating. Burial will follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian. Visitation will take place on Monday, May 11, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home; and again, one hour before the service begins on Tuesday.
