Marsha L. Moorehead

ADRIAN – Marsha L. Moorehead, age 61, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 13, 2021, at Chelsea Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 13, 1960, in Adrian, the daughter of James and Waneta (Clegg) Raloff. On July 30, 1977, she married her high school sweetheart, Nicholas Moorehead, and he survives. Marsha drove bus for Adrian Public Schools for over 30 years. As the team bus driver, she was the biggest fan of all her coaches, athletes and parents covering the inside of her bus with photos and newspaper clippings of their achievements. More recently, she drove for Lenawee Transportation and Dial-A-Ride being honored with MDOT’s Spirit of Excellence Award in 2018. Marsha was very creative and loved many hobbies including arts, crafts, beading and online shopping. You’d often find Marsha wearing a beautiful bright shirt or shoes and a vibrant smile. She would also receive many compliments on her beautiful tattoo on her leg. Marsha was the ultimate animal lover, no matter what type of creature she came across. Marsha rescued many animals during her life, including a squirrel, hamster, parakeets, lizards, cats, and many unique dogs. She had a knack in finding an animal in need and caring for them with all her heart. She was the ultimate extroverted introvert, she was the life of the party and always had a funny story to tell anyone, but also loved to recharge her batteries at home. She cared deeply for many people, and would always lend an ear to listen to someone in need. She was never afraid to share her opinions. She also cared deeply for her grandchildren, always tickling their backs with her long nails or chasing them around playing “monster grandma”. She was also known in her family for making the most amazing tacos. In addition to her parents and Nick, her husband of almost 44 years, she is survived by their children, Nicholas (Heather) Moorehead and Holly (Reggie) Bengel; grandchildren, Hunter, Sawyer and Ryder; and siblings, David Raloff and Sharlene (Brent) Dunbar, as well as many cherished in-laws, nieces and nephews. At Marsha’s request cremation will take place and there will be a celebration of her life June 19th, 2021, from 1 to 4 p.m.at Lake Somerset, where she enjoyed time with family. Contributions in her memory are suggested to the Lenawee Humane Society.
