Lori Anne Barth

ADRIAN- Lori Anne Barth, age 57, of Adrian, MI died at home on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Lori was born on August 27, 1966 in Pontiac, Michigan, the daughter of Gary and Mary Lou (Crawford) Covell. Back in September of 1983, Lori was introduced by a friend to Douglas “Doug” Cooper Barth; and little did she know that meeting Doug would change her life forever. For more than forty years, Lori and Doug shared a love, raised a family and created many memories through their adventures. Early in their marriage, Lori and Doug traveled to numerous fairs and festivals while running an Elephant Ear stand. The season would start in Michigan and then they would travel south going on to Florida with many stops along the way. Later in life, Lori earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Phoenix. Lori was a force to be reckoned with as she loved with her whole heart and was the “rock” for her family. She cared for her children, grandchildren and anyone else that needed attention, she was there for them. Lori was a talented artist and loved to paint. Doug had to build a “she-shed” for all her artwork and supplies. Over the last few years, the family would visit Little Stoney Lake in Brooklyn, MI, where Lori’s favorite place to relax was at Turtle Point. In addition to her husband, Doug, Lori is survived by their children, William Joseph Barth (Fox Austin), Dustin Wayne Barth and Tayren Lynn (Tom) Paratchek; 6 grandchildren; her mother, Mary Lou Franks; sisters, June Jennette (Pete) Gonzalez and Tara Marie (Don) Lithander; stepmother, Janet Sharp, and stepbrother, Bill (Carol) Presson. Lori was preceded in death by her father, Gary Covell; stepfather, Bill Franks and brothers, Brad Presson, Darrin Sharp, Michael Franks and Shawn Covell. The family would like to thank Francisca Gauna who provided the last blessing to Lori. Visitation for Lori will take place on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian. Her funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Chris Peoples officiating.
