Linda Kay Seeburger

ADRIAN- Linda Kay Seeburger, 75, of Adrian died Thursday afternoon, May 12, 2022 under the care of Hospice of Lenawee with her loving family by her side. She was born on July 24, 1946 in Adrian, the oldest daughter of Warren C. and Kathleen E. (Govin) Gibbs. Linda was the Salutatorian of her graduating class in 1964 from Madison High School. She went on to attend Michigan State University earning her bachelor’s degree in Education in 1968. It was during her time at MSU that Linda became a loyal Spartan fan and has enjoyed watching and cheering on her Spartan teams for many years. Go Green, Go White! Linda worked at the Lenawee County Sheriff Department as a dispatcher, retiring after 31 years. She was a talented seamstress, making clothes for her family and doing alterations when called upon. Linda was an avid reader and discovered a Facebook community where she developed friendships and socialized with others about common interests. If you knew Linda, you were aware of her patriotism and the pride she felt for her country. She loved her children, but they will admit, that Linda treasured her role of grandmother and great-grandmother on a whole new level. You could count on her to be at sporting and school activities, never wanting to miss any events. She is survived by her children, Heidi (Chad) Slates, Jennifer (Arnold) Fox and Garry (Krista) Seeburger; grandchildren, Ruben (Grace) Villegas, Vanessa Villegas, Jessica (Cris) Najar, Collin Slates (Kelsey Crosby), Donovan Slates, Riley Seeburger and Julie Seeburger; great-grandchildren, Kyle Stewart, Mo Najar, Maizen Isbell, Drayce Isbell, Amelia Tanner, Cristobal Najar and Angel Najar; sister, Kimberly (Andrew) Hubbell; nieces and nephews, Scott Gibbs, Kristy Holmes, Anthony Hubbell, David Hubbell and Katie Hubbell; and lifelong friend, Doris Bishop. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Gibbs; nephew, Jeffery Gibbs and her favorite uncle, John Govin. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Wagley Funeral Home in Adrian, with Pastor Thomas Govin officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee.
