Beulah M. Fisher

BLISSFIELD – Beulah M. Fisher, age 104 of Blissfield, passed peacefully from this life into the arms of Jesus July 1, 2015, at Blissfield Place where she happily lived the past almost 8 years surrounded by wonderful care givers and residents she considered dear friends. She was born June 26, 1911, in Blissfield to William and Minnie Wilhelmena (Schmidt) Wahl. On December 18, 1933 she was married to Maynerd Fisher. He preceded her in death in 1990, having celebrated over 56 years together. Beulah loved making quilts, playing cards and games, and making Christmas cookies. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palmyra where she was active in the Friendship Circle and taught Sunday school. She was also a member of the Palmyra Grange, Raisin Sewing Circle, and Bradley Extension Club, and served as a leader for 4-H. She is survived by her children: Jay (Vanda) of Adrian; Wilma Young of Tucson, AZ; daughter-in-law, Kay of Palmyra; Robert (Mary Lou) of Palmyra; and Roger (Gerri) of Brooklyn; 12 grandchildren: Julie Young of Carmel, CA; Ross (Leslie) Young of Tucson, AZ; Tammy (Ken) Green of St. Joseph, MI; Nora (Michael) Maher of Blissfield; Ed (Jean) Fisher of Palmyra; Sherrie (David) Whitaker of Temperance; Sandra (Mark) Tillotson of Adrian; Michael (Kristin) Fisher of Lexington, KY; Kristy (Dean) Suiter and Craig (Karla) Fisher, both of Blissfield; Ryan (Kristen) Fisher of Palmyra; and Laura Hawley of Jackson; 30 great grandchildren: Brittany and Robyn Young, Melanie and Kevin Green, Yvonne and Jay Maher, Emily (Sam) Branchaw, Sylvia (Zac) Cunningham, Garrett, Samuel, Eli, Grace, Noah, Madaline, Joseph and Stella Fisher, Chelsea (Kevin) Shadewald, Kyle, Carly and Clint Tillotson, Kaylea and Julianne Fisher, Spencer and Kipp Fisher, Devin, Kelsey and Dakota Suiter, Abby Fisher, and Harper and Ada Hawley; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Palmer; brothers, Lawrence and Leo Wahl; son, Lawrence Fisher; son-in-law, Richard Young; two grandsons and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 6, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Gary Leking and Intern Ben Austin officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery.
