Agatha "Aggie" Ann Lombard

BLISSFIELD- Agatha “Aggie” Ann Lombard, 82, of Blissfield died early Monday morning, August 1, 2022 at Kingston Residence in Sylvania, Ohio. Born on March 20, 1940 in Adrian, Michigan Aggie was the daughter of John and Norma (Pickles) Bell. She graduated from Blissfield High School with the Class of 1958 and went on to attend Capital University in Bexley, Ohio. On August 25, 1962 Aggie married Robert “Bob” William Lombard at Trinity Lutheran Church in Riga, MI. Aggie and Bob were blessed with a wonderful life together would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at the end of this month. Aggie was naturally outgoing and highly organized. She volunteered throughout her whole life, whether it was for the Blissfield Band Boosters, Red Hatters or for Meals on Wheels with the Bliss-Liewert Senior Center. She was still doing the scheduling for Meals on Wheels at the age of 80, filling in when needed. She retired from Lake Park Hospital after many years of exceptional care as a unit secretary. When it was time to have fun Aggie was good at that too. She and Bob would take their fifth wheel on the road and go camping. Aggie had wonderful friends that she would go on trips with and they were always planning their next great adventure. She enjoyed bowling and working in her garden. Aggie was an incredible cook and would take turns hosting family holiday gatherings with her sister, Jane. Aggie was strong in her faith and was a lifetime member at Trinity Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband, Bob; children, Sonya Lombard of Cartersville, Georgia and Daryl Lombard of Katy, Texas; grandchildren, Taylor, Mackenzie and Gunnar Lombard; and siblings, Elaine Schaedler, Duane and Sam Bell. Aggie was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Loraine Bell and Jane Beck. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Riga with Dianna Raine officiating. Burial will be private at Pleasant View Cemetery in Blissfield. Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until the start of the service at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagley Funeral Home, Tagsold Chapel in Blissfield. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or to the Bliss-Liewert Senior Center for the Meals on Wheels program.
