Wesley "Wes" Randal Anderson

ADRIAN- Wesley (Wes) Randal Anderson, transitioned on August 1, 2023, in Adrian, MI after a brave and courageous battle with epithelioid sarcoma. He was born June 1, 1982, in Atlanta, GA to Randy and Carol (Bristow) Anderson. Wes grew up in Atlanta, GA where he attended Centennial and Independence High Schools, followed by Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL where he earned his degree in Audio Engineering. He lived in Atlanta until his early adulthood, then moved to Asheville, NC and later to Adrian, MI. Wesley was preceded in death by his grandparents George and Irene Anderson and Eugene and Betty Bristow, his parents, cousin Joanna Anderson, and his best friend Wes Collins. Wesley leaves behind his wife of 6 years, Melissa (Bukovinac) Anderson. He is also survived by his son, George Anderson, and his sisters Jennifer (Rob) Kealler and Stephanie (Shane) Dockery, niece Caroline Kealler, nephews Anderson Kealler and Colin Dockery, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly. Wes often said he was so lucky to have the best wife, the best son, and the best dog, Diesel. Wes rescued Diesel in early 2013, only a few months after he and Melissa started dating (August 2012). Wesley had a love for music that started in his teenage years and lasted throughout his entire life. He was often seen strumming his guitar and writing songs. Melissa and Wes shared this passion, and it quickly became the centerpiece of their home. Upon college graduation, Wes was an audio engineer for Carnival Cruise ships where he enjoyed traveling and exploring new places. Wes also had a talent for brewing beer and was recognized by some of Atlanta’s finest brewmasters receiving the People’s Choice Award at an annual Sweetwater 420 festival. This love for beer led to positions at Cypress Street, Savannah Distribution, and Dogfish Head Brewery. Wes was not afraid to try new things and thus secured a real estate license while living in Asheville. Wesley valued family and tradition and embraced the idea of moving to Adrian, MI (Melissa’s hometown) when it was time to settle down and start a family. It was here that Wesley and Melissa dreamed of establishing their own acupuncture business and beginning a life together on the family property. They fulfilled their dreams with the birth of their son, George Anderson, in 2020 and by founding Prescription Earth of Tecumseh, MI. It was no secret that Wes’ most coveted and cherished role in life was that of being a father. Wes stayed home with George during his first two years of life, running the operations of Prescription Earth. With Wes’ newfound country life, he developed a love for the land. He was often seen walking and mapping the trails of the family property and was known for his flourishing garden. Funeral services for Wes will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian with Rev. Larry Betz officiating. His funeral service will be live streamed and the link will be available on the Tribute Wall. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Friday, August 11, 2023 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home and again one hour prior to the start of the service on Saturday.
