Lester Jerry Elliott

ADRIAN—Lester J. Elliott, 91 of Adrian, left his earthly home and went to be in his heavenly home with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at his home under the loving care of his family assisted by Hospice of Lenawee. Lester was born July 5, 1927 to C.S. and Toy (McKinney) Elliott in Tiger Creek, TN. On November 16, 1951, he married Faye Powell in Shell Creek, TN, she survives. He worked at the Gerity Plant and then at Faraday for 39 years, retiring in 1994. After retirement, he worked from 1996 until 2010 for Adrian Dodge as a shuttle bus driver. Lester was a member of the Adrian Church of God where he was a lay minister and the outreach pastor at Provincial House for over 39 years, sharing the salvation message with everyone he met. Family and friends were very important to Lester; he will be remembered as a kind, loving man who dearly loved his Lord. In addition to his wife Faye, of 67 years, Lester is survived by their children, Connie (Michael) Lane, Ted (Peggy) Elliott, Kimberly Elliott, all of Adrian, Pamela (Tom) Hagen of Auburn, MI, Jerry (Michelle) Elliott of Bay City; 19 grandchildren, Michael Scott, Adam, Sarah, Chantel, Phillip, Charles, Allison, Brent, T.J., Shane, Clayton, Wes, Holly, Ethan, Ellynn, Brooke, Madison, Molly and Anthony; 22 great grandchildren and 2 great-great granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Burgess, Drewey, Lawson, Earl, C.P. and Homer and sisters, Minnie Hicks, Etter Guinn, Florence Birchfield and a granddaughter in infancy. Visitation for Lester will be Wednesday, October 17, 2018, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Wagley Funeral Home and on Thursday from noon until the time of the service at Adrian Church of God / Redemption Outreach Center. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Adrian Church of God / Redemption Outreach Center with Rev. David King officiating. Burial will follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian. Memorial contributions may be made to the Phil Comar No Hands Rides for Parkinson's Disease (Michael J.
